The Derwent Estuary Program (DEP) is a voluntary partnership between the Tasmanian Government, local councils and industry. The Tasmanian Premier, CEOs and Mayors of the DEP partner organisations signed a five-year Partnership Agreement to implement the Environmental Management Plan in order to restore and promote the Derwent estuary.
The Derwent Estuary Program is a regional partnership between local governments, the Tasmanian Government, commercial and industrial enterprises, and community-based groups. It is through these partnerships that we are able to enact many and various programs and projects to restore and promote our estuary.
